Just A Happy New Year to eveybody that still pass here if some link are broken just mentionned it i will check at least one a month it's 15 year that i'm busy with playing and now Im' a little bit tired but will still be here and certainly post something when you won't expect it

this year bring me a big change that i never expected in my private life and 2011 will just bring the turn over so don't expect to much about this site in the upcoming month  but i will try to do some update ;)

Short and Quick update

Hi All,
it has been quite a while since I put some more stuff inside this blog, one comment was put regarding a dead link which has been updated if there are some other don't hesitate to ask me for updating them.

I really lack of time since september (mostly due to work) and also had to face with a HDD crash so I still didn't install back all WW2 game but be sure I will try to add several update before end of the year due to holiday.

Actually i'm playing MOH:Airbone which actually, i'm half way of, let me a mixed feeling,  more like a half empty bottle I started to prepare a review of it which should be the for the next update.

I have also started A new poll (regarding the maps and mods), I always play everything but thaught this site would only be dedicated to good or at least worth release so would you like to have all of them for you own collection without taking in account they could be crap.

End of the year his also a good moment to give or ask for present under the tree if you don't know what to choose I think the 10th anniversary bunble of Medal Of Honor could be a good one.

Thanks to a kind russian reader, Alexander, I will be soon adding several map from the eastern community, not only providing me links Alexandr also translate the script to make it undersandable for non russian

Regarding the poll it's obvious that people would like to see some MOH stuff too, I will so try to add also several one for this game

Sorry for the lack of update

Perhaps because i'm in the mood a little I have two maps to review still for COD/UO perhpas a third one...several left for COD4 and one for COD2...so I don't know if there will be a lot of new release in the future but the good days, except perhaps for COD5 and after, is behind us I think. That's why I have add a poll just running for a month asking to you readers if you would like to have some Medal Of Honor review here...I certainly could have some interesting ones

BTW I'm really thankfull to those peoples who gave me some featback about potential map to review...thanks to them ;)

I wish to all of you the best for the upcoming year(s) and would like to thank you all for your discrete support during this past 2 years (I didn't have a single post of feedback during the past two years), but having close to 1000 hits in 3 month and was a great surprise that encourage me to update this blog more during the last two months.

the future of this blog will i hope be reoriented to game that still are not covered as COD4 and MOHAA this mainly because, except one or two releases, all the best i could find for COD, CODUO and COD2 is reviewed here but if you could help me digging some stuffs i would really appreciate it.

In the meantime i will also be catch by the updating of my other blog (link in the title) and the new season for virtual rally at Rallyesim

Yes I know it's more than 6 months without update but there hasn't been a lot of new release this year...sadly

Also I have been a lot busy with the online rally championnship, if you interested just go to this place

In the meantime I have added some personal link (using the skydrive feature of hotmail) to map that haven't a link anymore or for which the link was not direct

so feel free to check out and find some forgotten one

I hope to update this page soon with several COD maps and would like also to add Medal of Honor releases

some new features

Recently there asn't been any new releases so i took the opportunity to do some minor (what you see) major (what i did) changes.
Two new features are no available:

using labels 'libellés' (you can select all associated review according COD, COD UO COD 2) simple look on the bottom of each review and click on the label 'libellés'thingey so you will sort all review according the game associated.

Several author have released different mapq I have add a line 'Other map reviewed from the author' so that you kind direclty see to other related maps from the same author.

Hope this helps a little

Usefull info

I have played a lot of things for Call of Duty and most of them didn't show well written objective but just something like OBJ_01, which can be confusing to solve if it's not explicitly described what to do next. I Suppose it was due to the fact of using custom map made using another version of Call Of Duty (retail version) that didn' have the same language instalment. According this problem, Steve Acaster (Yorshire rifles), send me a reply explaining how to make the objectives fully visible in game so if you encounter several problem with the onscreen message due to another language installation program here is what to do.

1 under COD/main folder or uo folder (if its a map for uo), create a subfolder called localizedstrings in which you create another folder called French, English, German, or else looking to the language you are using through the game.

2 Open the pk3 map file with a compressing tool (Winzip, Winrar, 7-zip,...) and you will see all the associated file include just point out on the mapname.str file

3 Copy/Paste the str file into the localizedstrings/language folder you have created

4 Start the map bring down the console and all objective will appears like they should but in the language they where created, so if a map was created in german, french or anyother language it will appears in it's original developping language.

Whats ther future of this blog

I will try like for my other blog to put several update reviewing sp map for games like MOHAA, COD, CODUO, and COD2. I will only focus on worth map to be reviewed and perhaps sometimes to make a short updated with a list of release i didn't like.

I would like to appologize for my apporximative English and i hope you will not take the much in account the mistakes you will find all over this blog
